Whether it’s just a temporary thing or your aim is to make a lot of money, a second job has potential to boost your income significantly if you know where to look. So, what jobs can you do flexibly and make a ton of money from?

Medical Transcriber
If you have a medical background or you can easily make sense of doctor’s notes, being a part-time medical transcriber could earn you almost as much as your full-time job. It’s flexible, so you only have to take on as much work as you can manage, and you can do it in your own time from the comfort of your own home. Medical transcribers will either listen to recordings or look at notes from doctors and nurses and rewrite them so they’re easily read by the untrained eye. There may be abbreviations included that patients won’t know, or practitioners may have written in shorthand. As long as you can understand it and translate it, you’ve got the skills required.

Real Estate
Becoming a real estate agent can take time and patience, but once you have that license, you can take on as much or as little as you like. Of course, making money in real estate is all about selling properties, so you’ll need to get your hands on the best properties in the area. Once you have the listing, it’ll be your job to convince viewers that the property is worth buying. When you sell a property, you’ll make money via commission. That means, the more you sell, the richer you’ll become.

There are plenty of people who rely heavily on Uber lifts these days. And, as the festive season approaches, there will be party after party and many attendees who need to get home safely. Becoming an Uber driver during the evenings could help you to reach your financial goals. In fact, many Uber drivers have found the benefits of the job to be so high that they’ve left their first jobs to become a driver full-time. Being an Uber driver is said to pay between $20-$25 per hour.

Virtual Administration
Being a VA is another job you can do from home, in your own time. The job usually involves anything from answering emails, answering phone calls, data input or letter writing. It can help if you have an administration or customer service background. Working during the evenings or weekends can sometimes get you increased rates, but it’s better to work for one steady employer, rather than go from job to job.

Freelance Writer

As a freelance writer you may be asked to do tasks, such as, writing blogs, articles, website content or even updating people’s resumes. If you can get into the swing of things quickly, you can potentially make a lot of money. However, you should remember that there is a lot of competition out there.
