Things are looking up + Fincancial Blogger Conference

This week has been much better for us with my husband getting a call for 2 weeks solid work, a few extra shifts and we found out about 1 lump sum we are owed, plus the possibility of another, both of which would help immensely.

I have been preparing for the Financial Blogger Conference, sorting out my presentation, flights, accommodation and things. It is finally all coming together which is nice.

I am pretty excited about the conference for many reasons:
- Meeting like minded bloggers
- Meeting bloggers I have read for a long time
- Getting go to to the USA and buying stuff such as my make-up and clothing for 1/4 of the price it costs here. I plan or working out what we need, taking a list and buying what I can.

I am a little nervous though. Not about talking in front of a crowd, but about leaving my family for a whole week.

It will be nice to have some time to myself, but when I went away just for 24 hours my daughters nearly had a heart attack and sobbed uncontrollably when I came back. My eldest was very clingy afterwards too, worried I wouldn't come back.

Then of course there is my husband. How will he cope being the main parent, the one who has to do everything, including cooking, cleaning and playing. Plus we now only have one laptop, which will be with me. so no internet for a whole week.

That I am pretty sure will be the killer. No internet.

Oh, well. I am sure it will all be fine.

I'm looking forward to doing some sightseeing aroudn Chicago too. Any recommendations?

Free eBook - How to sell books.

As priomised in my last post I have done up a 'How To Sell Books" guide you can download for free here. It covers everything you need to know to start making money selling books. I cover where to find books, where to sell them, postage, listing, keeping records and more.

It's 6 pages long, so has a lot of information, but the responses so far have been really positive.

It is not as hard as many people think and in Australia with the price of books, you can actually make a fair amount of money quite easily, simply by knowing which books sell best, or for the highest price. My guide discusses this as well as where to research to find out which books are selling best.

Hope you like it.

How to sell books - guide

Over at my new blog I am compiling a how to guide all about reselling books. It will be free to download, but I wanted your opinions before I put it up.

I have almost finished it, but I thought I would ask you all what exactly you would want to be in it or what advice is it that you need on selling books?

I have written about where to find them, what sort of books to sell and how to know which books to sell, postage, where to list and a few other tips and tricks.

What else would you need in there?

I have done it for some time so it is kind of second nature to me, but I realise it could be a little daunting to others.

I have found it to be an easy way to make some extra cash without much effort.

Along with this guide, I plan on doing mroe in depth how to guides for other ways I make money, as I get asked a fair bit about them, so is there anything specific you would like me to go into more detail with or write a guide about?

Thank you so much for your opinions. If you want you can leave a comment or you can email me contact at kylieofiu dot com if you prefer it to be private.
