3 Cheap Options For People That Want To Go Self-Employed

Do you ever feel like you’re not realizing your full potential at work? Or you think
that your boss doesn’t know what they’re doing and you could run the business 10
times better? Well, why don’t you put your money where your mouth is and start
your own business? A lot of people that decide to go self-employed because they
work better when they’re in charge and they’ve got what it takes to run a business
properly. But a lot of people are put off because they think it’ll mean taking out huge
loans and taking large risks, and the chance of the business folding is very high.
The thing is, there are plenty of ways to go self-employed that you can do without
a huge amount of financial risk, these are some of the best ones.

Uber Driver

Going self-employed doesn’t necessarily mean having to start up your own business.
If you just want the freedom to work your own hours and be your own boss while still
making good money, why not consider becoming an Uber driver. A lot of people think
of it as a little side job but there are actually plenty of people out there that make a good
living from being an Uber driver. It only takes a couple of hours to set up your registration
and then you can start taking fares.

Real Estate Agent

The real estate industry is booming right now and there’s a wealth of work out there
for a good real estate agent. If you’re good with people and you think you’ve got what
it takes to sell houses, you could get in on that action. The first thing you’ll need to
do is get your Real Estate License then you’ll be legally allowed to start selling houses.
Once you’re licensed, the best way to get your first listing is through friends and family
connections. If you ask around, somebody will know of a person that wants to sell
their home. If you do a good job, you’ll get more work through word of mouth
recommendations and the ball will start rolling.

English Tutor

There are a lot of people coming in from outside of the country and some of them
can’t speak English. They’ll need to learn and you’re already in a position to teach
them. However, it’s important to remember that just because you speak English, that
doesn’t necessarily mean you’re qualified to teach so you’ll have to get a teaching
certification. You need to have good people skills and be good at explaining things to
others. If you think you’ve got those skills, you could be a great English teacher. You’ll
need to find a space to conduct your lessons but most local community centres will
offer the space for free, or at least for a very low price. It’s a very cheap business to
set up and there’s always a steady stream of work coming in for you.

Next time you’re getting fed up with your boss, think about starting out on your own
and going self-employed instead.
