Aussie Bloggers Conference

Yesterday I got to go to my first ever blogging conference. Actually it was the first blogging conference for Australia! Which was very exciting. I learnt a lot and met a lot of great bloggers

I wanted to share with you who I got to meet, so there are quite a few links in this post, but I wanted to share some awesome blogs with you all. I tried to link to a page I really liked, not just the home page, so there are some awesome articles in here!

Firstly, I got to sit at the table right in the middle of the room, close to the front, so had an awesome view of everything. I also got to sit with some lovely ladies, Calm Blue Ocean with her first list post, Pesky Pixies with her 2010 year in review,Green Mama, Bumparella with her so cute nursery make over. We also had a nuffnang rep on our table and another blogger I barely got to talk to as she arrived after the rest of us and was on the other side of the table, so hardly got to talk. My bad for not getting a card, sorry.

Anyways, onto lunch. At lunch I got to sit with a few different people such as Colin Wee of Super Parents with Living a Life worth Living - 40 Tips. He has some great advice on his blog and he has spent a lot of time as the parent at home which is really interesting. I had a really interesting chat about homeschooling and how its different in the States with A Cajun Downunder (here's something you don't see every day. Seriously.) I am heavily leaning towards it and she told me things I didn't know, so that was great. Also Nellbe who is gluten intolerant and has some excellent recipes and advice on her blog.

I had an awesome chat with Magneto Bold Too and was really glad to meet her. She was also one of the speakers at the conference. She spoke in the my blog my story part of the conference and I really wanted to talk to her so glad I got to.

Frogponds Rock gave an interesting talk and she is quite entertaining. She is also fortunate enough to live where I would love to, in Tassie.  She's a true 'greenie', which I know, from experience, where she lives is not the easiest. (Despite it being a beautiful green state.)

I loved the conference and was so glad I got to meet some awesome new bloggers. Sad I didn't get to meet everyone, but thoroughly enjoyed it all.

I plan on going through the full list of attendees and checking out all their blogs.  Looking forward to next years!

Thank you so much Brenda, Veronica, Karen, Tina and Nicole!!!

Edited to add - I KNEW there was someone else at lunch, Michelle from Farmers Wifey,, thanks for contacting me and CoAstY's journal! Was awesome to meet you guys. :)

  9. I loved it. I'm not sure if we chatted - I am still overwhelmed by everyone I met, heard, and learned from - but I hope we did. And if nothing else, I can at least follow your blog!
